Academic Programmes

Two structured foundations for students beginning higher-level study in business or information technology.

Programme structure

A coherent first step in each discipline.

IPA's two curriculum streams each comprise eight compulsory subjects across two planned 15-week semesters.

Each subject is designed around 60 scheduled contact hours, giving 480 scheduled subject hours per programme. A further four hours of academic learning support is planned each week, separately from subject contact hours.

Independent reading, revision, practice and assessment preparation are student-managed. The time required varies by task and individual; it is not presented as a fixed number of additional teaching hours.

Teaching is primarily in Korean, with English academic terminology, selected readings and communication tasks introduced progressively.
